Been running into consistent RTK signal interruptions when mapping downtown sites with our M350 RTK. Signal accuracy drops off beyond 35km from correction source, plus building interference causes float solutions or complete dropout to standalone mode. When RTK-float kicks in, accuracy degrades to tens of centimeters instead of the sub-cm we need.
Currently evaluating whether one GCP + PPK post-processing can solve the accuracy reduction from RTK signal loss. Has anyone compared RTK-fixed vs RTK-float vs PPK workflows on the same urban site? Wondering if the hybrid approach is worth the extra field time.
