ok so I finally got around to caring about video quality on my mini 3 (non-pro) and everyone keeps saying get ND filters but theres like a hundred options on amazon ranging from 12 bucks to like 80 and I genuinely cannot tell what the difference is other than price. I mostly fly on sunny days, sometimes overcast. not doing anything professional just want the footage to not look so choppy and weird when things are moving. do I need a whole kit or can i just get one or two filters and call it a day. also does the mini 3 use the same size as the mini 3 pro or are they different because I keep seeing kits that just say mini 3 and im not sure if that means both

the mini 3 and mini 3 pro do use the same filters as far as i know, the lens housing is the same. for sunny days you really just need an ND16 and maybe an ND64, thats like 90% of my flying covered. I went with Freewell and honestly they've been fine, nothing crazy but no complaints either. the cheap amazon ones can have color cast issues where everything looks slightly green or magenta and it drives me insane in post so id maybe spend a little more than the bargain bin stuff

honestly for casual flying the kit with ND8, 16, 64, 256 is the way to go, you use the 180 degree shutter rule and just match the filter to your shutter speed. overcast day I usually grab the ND8 or nothing at all. Polarpro makes nice ones but theyre pricy, Skyreat is the budget pick most people seem happy with. dont overthink it too much, even cheap filters are better than no filters for video
