so i've been flying a Mavic 2 Pro for about two years and kept looking at the EVO II Pro every time it went on sale. finally pulled the trigger last month during a random deal i found and honestly i dont regret it at all but there are some things i wish someone had told me before i bought it.
first thing ? the Autel Sky app is... fine. its not DJI GO 4 and it's definitely not the smoothest experience but once you get used to where everything lives it's workable. i had some connection drops the first couple flights that i think were just me not having the remote firmware updated properly, once i sorted that out it's been solid.
the 6K sensor on this thing though. genuinely impressed me. i've been shooting mostly real estate walkthroughs and the dynamic range is noticeably better than what i was getting with the Mavic in certain lighting conditions, like late afternoon shoots with harsh shadows. colors out of the camera feel a bit warmer which i actually like but i know some people prefer to start neutral so just something to be aware of.
the obstacle avoidance is okay. not as refined as DJI's but it works, it's saved me at least once already near some tree branches i didnt see coming. battery life feels about the same as the Mavic honestly, maybe slightly less but i havent done a proper comparison.
anyway curious if anyone else is running one of these for professional work and what accessories they've found actually worth getting. i grabbed a couple extra batteries and a ND filter set but thats about it so far.
