so ive had the mini 4 pro since around december and figured id share some actual real world thoughts since most reviews online are just people unboxing it and flying it twice in perfect weather
first off the video quality is genuinely great, i was coming from a mini 2 and the difference in low light is pretty noticeable. the omnidirectional obstacle avoidance is nice but i've found it gets kinda twitchy around trees with thin branches, like it'll just stop and refuse to move even when theres clearly enough room. annoying on creative shots but i get why its like that
battery life is okay, i get around 28-30 minutes realistic which is pretty much what DJI says. the intelligent flight modes like master shots are fun once or twice but honestly i barely use them anymore
the one thing that actually bugs me is the RC2 controller. the screen washes out in direct sunlight way more than i expected. not a dealbreaker but if you fly midday a lot just be ready to squint a lot or get used to angling it
anyway if anyone is deciding between this and the mini 3 pro i'd say the mini 4 is worth it mainly for the obstacle avoidance upgrade but the price jump is real and if youre a casual weekend flyer the mini 3 is probably fine honestly
