so this has been driving me absolutely nuts for the past week. updated firmware on my Mavic 3 Pro and now the gimbal just slowly drifts to the right during longer flights, like maybe 2-3 degrees over the course of a few minutes. wasnt doing this before the update at all. ive tried recalibrating the gimbal through the app probably four or five times now, same result every time.

the footage still looks okay on shorter clips but anything longer than like 90 seconds you can really start to see the horizon creeping. its not a huge drift but its enough to ruin a pan shot. i fly mostly real estate stuff so this is kind of a big deal for me.

anyone seen this after the latest update or is my gimbal unit actually dying? the drone only has maybe 60 hours on it so i really hope its not hardware.

had almost the exact same thing happen after a firmware update last year on my older Mavic 2 Pro. turned out the gimbal calibration through the app wasnt enough ? i had to do a full IMU calibration on a completely flat surface, like a level, not just eyeballing it. once i did that properly the drift went away. might be worth trying before you start panicking about the hardware.

also worth checking if there's a rollback available for the firmware. DJI has been hit or miss lately with updates and sometimes they quietly push a fix a few weeks later anyway.

not the same drone but i get random gimbal weirdness sometimes and usually its the ribbon cable getting a tiny bit of flex stress over time. probably not your issue at 60 hours but worth keeping in mind if the calibration stuff doesnt fix it. the drift pattern you're describing honestly does sound firmware-related tho
