okay so i finally worked up the nerve to try a power loop at my local spot which is just a big open field with a few trees. watched probably 30 minutes of tutorials the night before and thought i had it down. went out this morning, picked a tree that wasnt too big, got some speed going and then just completely bottomed out halfway through and the quad went into the dirt. no real damage somehow, props took a hit but the frame is fine. i think i just didnt have enough throttle going over the top? or maybe i pulled out too early. honestly it happened so fast i cant even remember what i did wrong. gonna try again this weekend

haha yeah the first few always end in the dirt, dont worry about it. the thing that helped me click was thinking about it less like a loop and more like youre throwing the quad at the ground on purpose and then catching it. sounds weird but once that clicked i stopped bottoming out. also more speed into it than you think you need, way more

simulators man. i know everyone says it and its annoying to hear but i did like 200 power loops in velocidrone before i tried one for real and my first actual attempt was pretty clean. saves props and motors. just saying
