This has been bugging me for a while and i cant figure out if its a settings thing or something else. So when im shooting in normal conditions the footage looks fine, but whenever im flying in that late afternoon light ? like golden hour stuff ? there's this kind of green-ish tint that shows up especially in the shadows. Its not there in the highlights really, just the darker parts of the frame.

Im shooting in D-Log M and doing color grading in Resolve afterward. I do have a LUT applied but ive tried turning it off and the raw D-Log still has this cast so i dont think its the LUT. White balance is set to auto which maybe is the problem? I honestly dont know. The weird thing is it doesnt happen every flight, just sometimes and i cant figure out what the common factor is.

Anyone dealt with this or know what might cause it? My Air 2S is about a year and a half old if that matters.

Auto white balance in D-Log is almost certainly your culprit tbh. The camera is trying to correct for the warm tones at golden hour and sometimes it overshoots in weird ways, and in log footage that kind of decision gets baked in and is harder to fix in post than people expect. Lock your white balance manually before you take off ? I usually do like 5600K for golden hour depending on conditions and adjust from there. Makes grading way more consistent.

The fact that it doesnt happen every flight also tracks because auto WB is just... doing whatever it wants each time based on what it sees at startup basically.

Not to go off on a tangent but i had a similar green shadow thing and it turned out my monitor was just badly calibrated so the problem wasn't actually in the footage at all lol. Worth checking your output on another screen first just to rule that out before you go down a settings rabbit hole. Could still be the WB thing the other guy said though, that makes sense too.
