finally picked up an EVO Lite+ after going back and forth for months ? some thoughts

ok so ive been flying a Mini 2 for about a year and a half and honestly loved it but kept feeling like i was hitting a ceiling with the sensor size, especially shooting in lower light situations around golden hour and into dusk. did a ton of research and kept landing on the EVO Lite+ as a middle ground between the Mini series and going full Mavic 3 territory pricewise.

first few flights have been really good. the 1/1.28 inch sensor is noticeably better in lower light than what i was getting before, like genuinely not even close when you're shooting raw and pulling shadows. the gimbal feels solid and stabilization is smooth. my main gripe so far is the Autel Sky app feels a little clunky compared to DJI Fly, like its functional but it doesnt feel as polished. also had one instance where it lost connection briefly during my second flight, came back fine but it was a little unsettling.

anyone else running the Lite+? curious what accessories people are actually using, im thinking about getting ND filters and maybe a second battery or two but not sure which brands hold up well with this thing.

congrats on the purchase, the Lite+ is a solid bird. i ran one for most of last year before upgrading to the EVO II Pro and honestly the image quality per dollar is really hard to beat at that price point. for ND filters i went with Freewell and they fit perfectly, no complaints there. i think i have the 4-pack with ND4/8/16/32 or something like that, covers most daylight situations well.

the Sky app thing is real, it's gotten better with updates but it's still not quite as snappy as DJI's software. you kind of get used to it though. the brief disconnection you mentioned might just be interference in whatever area you were flying, i had a few of those early on and then they stopped happening. worth making sure your firmware is fully updated if you havent already.

oh nice i was looking at the Lite+ too but ended up going mini 3 because of the weight restrictions in my area. how does the wind handling feel compared to the mini 2? thats one thing i always worried about with lighter drones
