so anyway went to my first real organized group flight last sunday, like maybe 15 people showed up which is more than i expected. and look it was fun dont get me wrong but trying to keep track of whos flying where when theres that many aircraft up at once is genuinely stressful. i kept second guessing my altitude because i couldnt tell if that speck in the distance was someones drone or just a bird. no one really had a system going, just vibes basically. do other groups actually coordinate this stuff better or is this just how it is

most of the bigger clubs i know use designated flight zones and like a basic rotation system especially if its a smaller field. someone usually acts as a spotter too. sounds like yours was just a casual thing with no real structure, which is fine but yeah 15 aircraft with no comms gets sketchy fast. worth suggesting a simple altitude band system next time, like cinematic stuff stays under 100ft, everyone else above

honestly same experiance at the one i went to. nobody crashed but there were a couple moments where i just landed and watched because it felt like chaos. the social part was great though, ended up talking to this guy for like an hour about long range builds and completely forgot i even brought my own drone
