Got my DJI Mini 2 out after storing it for a few months and it's completely dead. Won't power on at all - no lights when pressing the power button. The battery was about 60% when I put it away. I've tried charging for several hours but the charging lights don't even come on. Could this be hibernation mode?

Has anyone dealt with this before? I'm worried the battery is permanently damaged.

The battery could be in hibernation mode. Your drone won't turn on until you fully charge the battery and take it out of hibernation mode. Try leaving it plugged in overnight - hibernation batteries often take much longer to wake up than normal charging.

I had this exact same issue! My Mini 2 sat in storage for 4 months and went completely dead. Had to leave it charging for almost 12 hours before it finally showed signs of life. The hibernation protection kicks in when batteries sit too long at partial charge.

Check if the indicator LEDs would be solid red and will be the same even after connecting to the charger - that's the telltale sign of hibernation mode. If that doesn't work, the battery might be genuinely failed and you'll need to contact DJI support.
