DJI fly app keeps reverting my camera settings after the last firmware update

  • Members

not sure if this is just me but ever since i updated to the latest firmware on my Air 2S the DJI Fly app keeps resetting my color profile back to Normal every single flight. i shoot in D-Log M exclusively and have to go back in and change it manually every time i power on. its not a huge deal but its the kind of thing that makes you wonder what else got reset that you didnt notice.

checked the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, same thing. profile saves fine while the drone is connected but next session its gone. anyone else seeing this or did i break something in my setup. running iOS by the way if that matters, havent tested on Android.

yeah this is a known thing after that update, theres a thread about it on the DJI forums too. from what i understand its a bug with how the app caches user preferences when the drone powers down, something with the handshake sequence got changed in the firmware and now the app doesnt write the settings back properly on reconnect. annoying as hell. someone said rolling back the firmware fixed it but i havent tried that personally because i dont really want to mess with the rollback process on the Air 2S.

DJI usually patches stuff like this within a cycle or two so probably just worth waiting it out and setting D-Log manually until then. not ideal i know.

im on Android and not seeing this at all, so might actually be an iOS specific thing. though my color profile situation is different, i mainly shoot in Normal and grade in post so maybe it just isnt affecting me and id never know. have you tried creating a fresh profile in the app instead of editing the default one? sometimes these apps get weird when you modify system defaults vs making your own preset.
