Just got my new Avata 2 and hitting a wall with initial setup. The DJI Fly app can't detect the drone, and the Goggles N3 gives me a red error saying "Drone version too early" when trying to connect. I've reinstalled the app, checked everything is latest version, but still no luck.

The drone flashes white on top but never connects. How can I update firmware if it won't pair in the first place? Has anyone else encountered this out-of-box linking failure? Really frustrated as I can't even get started.

Try using DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones version) on a Windows x64 system - the MacOS and ARM processor versions don't work properly. Connect the Avata 2 directly via USB-C cable and update firmware that way.

I had the exact same problem! DJI Assistant 2 saved me - it automatically detected the Avata 2, activated it, and after doing the firmware update twice the "aircraft version too early" error disappeared completely.

This seems like a common issue with new Avata 2 units shipping with outdated firmware. Make sure you follow the correct linking sequence and have all devices updated to latest firmware via DJI Assistant 2. The mobile app method often fails initially.
