this has been bugging me for a while and i finally decided to post about it. so basically when i trigger return to home, either manually or when the battery gets low, somewhere during the flight back the video feed cuts out and the connection drops for like 10 to 20 seconds before it comes back. the drone does make it home fine every time so its not a safety issue exactly but its pretty unsettling to just be staring at a grey screen hoping everything is okay.

im on the latest firmware, flying with the RC Pro controller. it seems to happen more when the drone is flying back at higher altitude and sort of rotating to face me, not sure if thats relevant. havent changed anything recently, this just kind of started a few weeks ago. really not sure where to begin diagnosing it.

could be interference along the return path if its a consistent route ? like if theres a building or structure that ends up between you and the drone at a certain point in the flight. the RC Pro uses ocusync which is solid but its not magic, physical obstructions still mess with the signal especially if the drone rotates and the antennas on both ends arent aligned well anymore. try going into the fly app and checking the signal strength graph after a flight, it should show you where the drops happened so you can figure out if its always the same location or just random.

also worth checking if your RC Pro antennas are seated properly and not slightly loose, had a buddy with a weirdly similar issue and one of his antenna connections had just come slightly loose at some point, no idea how.

i had somthing similar with my Air 2S a while back, turned out i had wifi interference from a hotspot i had running on my phone at the same time. probably not your issue since youre on RC Pro but just throwing it out there. signal drops during RTH are always nerve wracking even when it works out fine.
