finally got my Mavic 3 sorted after fighting the RC Pro for weeks

so anyway i finally got it working and i feel like an idiot for how long this took me. basically the RC Pro kept dropping connection mid flight and i was blaming the controller firmware but it turned out my phone's hotspot was interfering with the ocusync signal the whole time. once i turned off wifi on my phone completely and made sure nothing else was broadcasting nearby it just... worked. been flying clean for two weeks now.

anyway the real reason i posted is i wanted to share that the ND filter set i picked up for it has been an absolute game changer for video. i got the ones that screw on rather than magnetic and honestly for the price difference its worth it, they dont budge even in wind. if anyone is shopping around i'd say dont cheap out on filters, first set i bought had this subtle colour cast that was driving me insane in post.

also if anyones on the fence about the RC Pro vs the standard RC ? the screen in bright sunlight is not even a competition, RC Pro wins every time. just had to get the connection stuff sorted first which took me way longer than it should have lol

the wifi interference thing gets so many people and its almost never mentioned in the manual. i had a similar issue near a park where someone nearby had a portable router and i couldnt figure out why my video feed kept stuttering. took me an embarrassingly long time to connect the dots.

on the filters ? totally agree about the magnetic ones, ive gone through two sets where they just spin loose at the worst moment. screw-on is more faff to swap but at least they stay put. what brand did you end up going with if you dont mind me asking?

wait the hotspot can cause that?? i have literally been flying with my phone hotspot on the whole time because i use it for a live map app running on a tablet. gonna have to rethink my whole setup now, thanks for posting this
