this has been driving me insane for like three weeks now. mid flight it just drops signal for a few seconds and then reconnects, sometimes it does it once, sometimes like four or five times in a row. the drone doesnt RTH it just kind of hovers and then comes back which i guess is good but its still really unsettling especially when it happened over water last weekend

its not always in the same location either so i dont think its interference from a specific spot. ive checked the antennas on the RC2 controller and they look fine, signal strength looks normal right up until it drops. running the latest firmware on everything

not sure what else to check at this point, thinking maybe its a controller issue but hoping someone has seen this before before i send anything in to DJI

had something similar a while back and it turned out to be my phone causing interference weirdly enough ? had it in my pocket on the same side as the controller and something about the wifi or bluetooth on it was messing things up. tried flying with my phone in airplane mode and the drops basically stopped. no idea why it started suddenly after months of no issues but there you go

also worth checking if theres any fraying on the cable if you're using one of the older RC controllers with a phone mount, those cables can start dropping connection internally even when they look fine from outside

what controller are you using exactly? the RC2 has had some firmware weirdness in a couple of the recent updates, there were a bunch of people on the DJI forums complaining about intermittent signal drops after one of the updates a few months back. i think some people rolled back and it fixed it but i cant remember which version was the problem one

also worth checking your interference map in the DJI fly app if you havent, sometimes theres more going on in your area frequency wise than you'd expect
