this has been happening for a couple weeks and its starting to stress me out. ill be flying, everything fine, then the feed just cuts for like 3-5 seconds and comes back. drone stays in the air, it doesnt RTH or anything, just the video feed goes out and the controller kind of freaks out momentarily. happened four times on my last session

im on the latest firmware i think, checked a while ago. flying in a pretty open area, no obvious interference. its not a battery thing because it happens at different charge levels. honestly not sure what else to check, any ideas would be great because im a bit worried about flying it much until i figure it out

had something really similar with mine last year. first thing i'd check is whether the antennas on the controller are positioned correctly during flight ? sounds obvious but the EVO II controller is weirdly sensitive to antenna orientation compared to some others ive used. try keeping them angled at roughly 45 degrees away from the drone rather than pointing straight up.

also worth checking if theres any physical damage to the controller connectors or the cable if you're running a phone mount setup. mine turned out to be a slightly loose USB connection between my phone and controller which was causing intermittent dropouts. swapping the cable fixed it completely. might be worth trying a different cable just to rule that out

What area are you flying in generally? I ask because I had weird dropouts near some industrial areas that turned out to be RF interference from equipment on the ground, not anything wrong with the drone itself. Also have you checked if maybe a firmware update actually didnt complete properly ? sometimes it looks like it went through but didnt fully take. might be worth doing a full re-flash just to be sure
