so this has been bugging me for a while and i cant figure out if its a me problem or a drone problem. im flying my mavic mini (the original one) and when i just let go of the sticks it slowly drifts in one direction, usually forward and a little to the right. it doesnt fall or anything but it definitely isnt staying still. i calibrated the compass before my last flight because i read that fixes stuff but it still did it. wind wasnt that bad either i dont think. is this normal for this drone or did i mess something up

IMU calibration is probably what you actually need, not compass. people always go for compass first but if the IMU is off it'll drift exactly like you're describing. do it on a flat surface indoors, the app walks you through it. also make sure you're doing it away from anything magnetic or metal, like not on a metal table. i had the exact same issue with mine after i bumped it pretty good on a landing and the IMU cal fixed it immediately

could also just be wind honestly, even light wind at altitude feels like nothing on the ground but it moves these little drones around more than you'd expect. that said yeah try the IMU thing the other guy mentioned, thats usually the culprit for that kind of consistent drift in one direction. if it drifts randomly then i'd say wind but if its always the same direction theres probably a calibration thing going on
