so ive had the mini 4 pro since last spring and i keep seeing people ask if its worth the jump from the mini 3 pro so i figured id just write up what i actually think after flying it a fair amount
the obstacle avoidance is genuinely good, way better than i expected coming from the mini 3. ive had it save itself a couple times in tight spots near trees which the older one definitely wouldve just flown into. the omnidirectional sensing makes a real difference when youre not flying in a wide open field
image quality is honestly hard to tell apart from the mini 3 pro in good light. where it shines is low light ? the 1/1.3 inch sensor does pull more detail out of dawn or dusk shots. if youre mostly flying midday in good weather you might not even notice
battery life is decent, i get around 30 min realistically with the RC2 connected, not the advertised 34. thats fine for most stuff
the thing that bugs me is the price. when i bought it it was like $960 for the fly more combo and honestly... i think the mini 3 pro fly more is the better value unless you specifically need the obstacle avoidance or shoot a lot in low light. thats my actual take after living with it
