my rates feel completely wrong after reflashing FC and i cant figure out whats different

so anyway i finally got betaflight updated to 4.5 on my build and now everything just feels... off. like the stick feel is totally different even though i copied my rates over from my backup. im on actual rates, center sens is the same, expo is the same, i even screenshotted my old config. but when i fly it feels like the quad is either too twitchy in the center or sluggish at the ends, hard to describe really.

one thing i noticed is that the profile copy didnt bring over my filtering settings and i had to redo those from memory which probably wasnt perfect. im running RPM filter with bidirectional dshot and my motor poles are set right (i checked). not sure if thats related but the feel change is pretty dramatic so something is clearly different.

running a 5inch on 6S, F7 FC, 2400kv motors (yeah i know, long story). any ideas where to look first before i go down the full retune rabbit hole

check your dterm and pterm in the PID profile, 4.5 changed some of the defaults compared to 4.4 and if it pulled in fresh defaults during the flash your PIDs might not be what you think they are even if rates look right. rates alone wont explain sluggish ends vs twitchy center - thats usually a PID thing or filtering being way off.

also double check that RPM filter is actually enabled in the new config and not just sitting there with the right motor pole count but filtering disabled. ive seen that catch people out before.

2400kv on 6S lol what are you running, a rocket. but yeah jokes aside the filtering thing is probably your culprit, if you had a pretty dialed filter setup before and now its basically stock defaults it'll fly completely diferent. i'd start there before touching PIDs honestly, get the filtering close first then see how the rates feel.
