had a pretty gnarly one last weekend. was doing some proximity flying out at the reservoir spot and caught a weird gust coming around the rocks, basically went full speed into a granite face. RIP. the TPU camera mount actually absorbed a ton of it which i guess is what its supposed to do but the frame is pretty much scrap at this point ? main plate cracked right through both motor mounts on one arm and theres a stress fracture near the stack cutout too.
anyway im trying to salvage what i can before i order a new frame. FC seems okay, powered it up on the bench and betaflight connects fine, no weird errors on the board. ESC is a 4in1 and two of the motor pads look like they took some heat, not sure if that happened on impact or if something was arcing after. one motor is definitely dead, two others spin up fine, havent tested the fourth yet because the wires are kind of mangled near the connector.
camera is cracked, vtx seems fine. i'm mostly worried about the ESC honestly. is there any way to actually test if the ESC is reliable after something like this or do i just have to trust it and see what happens?
