ok so this is kind of embarrassing but whatever. was on a road trip through utah last week and stopped at this overlook near moab, gorgeous view obviously, and i just launched without really checking if it was inside the national park boundary. winds were totally calm on the ground but like 200ft up it just got slammed, drone started drifting way faster than i expected and for a second i genuinely thought it was going in the canyon.

got it back but it was sketchy. also turns out yeah i was technically in arches NP airspace which is a no fly zone. nobody was around and nothing happened but still kinda shook me up. always check the map before you fly people, i know everyone says it but i got lazy

yeah moab area is tricky because the park boundaries arent always obvious and the wind coming off those canyon walls is no joke. glad you got it back. ive had similar moments where the map said green but the actual conditions were way different than ground level suggested

national parks in the US are pretty much all no fly without a special permit and they almost never give those out to regular people, its mostly for research or film crews with big budgets. the fine isnt worth it either, can be several hundred bucks if a ranger sees you. theres usually good spots just outside the park boundaries though, takes a little more planning but totally doable
