ran a mapping mission yesterday over a roughly 40 acre agricultural field, flat terrain, pretty good lighting conditions in the morning. 75/75 overlap, flying at 120m, M2P with the 1" sensor. processed in dronedeploy and there's this diagonal seam artifact running maybe a third of the way through the mosaic, like the color and exposure dont match on either side of it. ground texture looks fine but theres a visible line.

this hasnt happened to me before and i genuinely dont know if its a camera setting issue, a processing issue, or something that happened mid-flight. the flight log looks normal to me. no warnings during the mission. auto exposure was on which i wonder about now

auto exposure is almost certainly your culprit. classic seam artifact. what happens is the camera adjusts exposure mid-flight, usually when cloud cover shifts or you turn around and the sun angle changes relative to the sensor, and then when the software tries to stitch everything together it can't perfectly blend frames that were exposed differently. you end up with that line right where the exposure shifted.

lock your exposure manually next time. i usually take off, let the drone hover for a sec, dial in manual exposure settings based on the conditions, then start the mission. on the M2P in particular i've had this happen even on clear days just from the aircraft banking into a turn and briefly changing how the sensor reads the scene. some people use the mechanical shutter setting too to reduce rolling shutter contribution but exposure lock is the main fix.

yeah what they said about auto exposure, been there. also worth checking if DroneDeploy's color balancing settings are cranked up ? sometimes it overcompensates and makes seams worse not better. theres a mosaic blending option in the processing settings that helped me once with a similar issue, think it was a radiometric correction toggle but i dont remember exactly where it is in the new UI they keep changing things around
