so ive been going back and forth on this for like two weeks now and i cant make up my mind. i shoot a mix of real estate and some landscape stuff on weekends just for fun, nothing super commercial. the 8K sensor sounds insane on paper but ive read a few places that the Pro's 6K with the 1" sensor actually performs better in low light and has more dynamic range? but then again 8K is 8K lol

also the price difference isnt huge right now at my local shop which is making it even harder. does anyone actually own one of these and can tell me if the 8K footage is actually usable or does it just eat your storage alive and slow everything down in post. my laptop is decent but not like a render farm or anything

any real world thoughts appreciated, not looking for spec sheet stuff i can find that on my own

had the 8K for about eight months before switching to the Pro and honestly the footage quality difference day to day wasnt what got me, it was the editing workflow. those 8K files are absolutely massive and even on my desktop with a decent GPU scrubbing through footage in premiere was kind of painful unless i made proxies every time. the Pro just fits better into how i actually work.

that said the 8K in good light on a sunny day looks genuinely stunning if you have the patience for post. for real estate though i'd lean Pro ? the dynamic range handling for interior shots near windows is noticeably better in my experience. the highlights dont blow out as badly.

i have the 8K and i love it but honestly i dont do much professional stuff so take that for what its worth. storage is definitely a thing, i went through my first few SD cards way faster than expected. just get a couple good V60 cards minimum or you'll be annoyed constantly
