EVO Nano keeps losing connection, no idea whats going on

  • Members

this has been bugging me for a while and i finally decided to just post about it. the connection just drops randomly, sometimes within like 200 meters sometimes farther but it never feels consistent. i've checked all the obvious stuff i think. its not super far from me when it happens and there arent any obvious obstacles

it reconnects usually after a few seconds which is terrifying honestly. im flying in a pretty open area too so i dont think its interference but who knows. firmware is updated. not sure what else to check at this point

where are you flying? like generally speaking ? near a city, suburbs, open field? the Nano's 2.4GHz can get pretty congested in areas with tons of wifi signals around. i had similar dropouts near a neighborhood and switching to a less busy channel in the Autel Sky app helped a little, though honestly the range on the Nano was never spectacular to begin with compared to the Lite series. also worth checking if your phone's wifi is trying to connect to something nearby and causing interference with the controller signal ? i've seen that cause weird disconnects before.

check if your phone is the issue tbh. some phones are just finicky with the Autel app and the connection drops are actually the app crashing or losing the USB link not the actual RC link. try a diffrent phone if you have one and see if the problem follows the drone or stays with the phone
