so im heading to Iceland in about 5 weeks and obviously bringing the mavic with me. ive done a bit of research on the rules there and it seems pretty relaxed compared to like france or italy but honestly the wind is what scares me more than any regulations. anyone flown there before? mostly planning to hit the south coast, jokulsarlon, stuff like that. also not sure if i need to register the drone before i go or if thats only for residents

flew there last september and yeah the wind is absolutely no joke. i had days where i just didnt bother because it was gusting like 40+ knots and there was zero point even unpacking. the south coast is stunning though, lagoon shots came out insane. for registration i dont think tourists need to do anything formal but double check with icelands transport authority website, it changed a bit last year i think. also bring way more batteries than you think you need because the cold drains them stupidly fast even when its not that cold by normal standards

not been to Iceland but just wanted to say the cold battery thing is real, even in Scotland mine were dying like 30% faster in winter. keep them in an inside pocket until you actually need them
