so ive been using litchi for probably two years now and honestly its fine, does what i need for waypoint stuff, but a few guys in my local club keep pushing me toward dronelink and i finally sat down and watched some videos on it last night

my main thing is i do a lot of corridor mapping for a civil engineering firm on the side, nothing crazy but accuracy matters and i need reliable waypoint following with altitude control. litchi has been mostly solid but the interface feels like it hasnt been touched since like 2019 and the hub website is kind of a mess to manage missions on

dronelink looks cleaner but im genuinely not sure if its worth learning a new workflow just for aesthetics. does it actually do anything meaningfully better for real missions or is it just shinier? flying a mini 3 pro and occasionally borrowing a mavic 3 classic from a friend if that matters

switched from litchi to dronelink about eight months ago and honestly the learning curve was annoying for the first couple weeks but now i wouldnt go back. the component-based mission structure takes some getting used to ? its not just draw a path and go ? but once it clicks you have way more control over things like camera behavior at specific waypoints, conditional actions, stuff like that

for corridor mapping specifically the orbit and path components together are pretty powerful. the telemetry logging is also better imo, easier to cross-reference with your footage afterward. that said if litchi is working for you and the jobs are getting done, switching mid-workflow on paid work is a risk. maybe test dronelink on a personal flight first before committing

i use dronelink on a m3e and its been solid but i honestly cant compare to litchi because i never really used it much. one thing i will say is the dronelink support forum is actually pretty active which helps when something doesnt behave the way you expect
