mini 4 pro firmware bricked my return to home settings??

okay so this is frustrating. updated to the latest firmware yesterday through the dji fly app, routine stuff, and now when i go into my safety settings my RTH altitude is just... reset. not just reset actually, its showing some weird default and wont save when i change it. i set it to 80m, back out of the menu, go back in and its sitting at 30m again

tried it like four or five times. restarted the app, restarted the drone, disconnected and reconnected the controller. same thing. anyone else seeing this after the last update or is something wrong with my specific unit. im flying in an area with a lot of trees so this isnt a minor annoyance, 30m RTH is genuinely a problem for me

rc2 controller btw if that makes any difference

yeah there was some chatter about this in a facebook group i'm in, seems like a few people had settings not sticking after that update. someone said doing a full aircraft refresh through dji assistant 2 on desktop fixed it rather than just updating through the fly app. havent confirmed it myself but worth trying before you go full factory reset

also backup your current settings somewhere before you do anything if you can, though honestly if the settings arent saving anyway you might not have much to lose

dji assistant 2 is the answer here almost certainly. the fly app firmware process has always been a bit sketchy imo, i never trust it for anything beyond minor patches. plug it in via usb, let assistant 2 do a proper refresh and recalibrate. also double check you dont have any conflicting profile or beginner mode thing enabled that might be overriding the RTH altitude, i had something similar once and it turned out beginner mode was capping settings without being super obvious about it
