first proper 5inch build and i have no idea what ESC to pair with this motor

ok so ive been flying whoops and tiny stuff for about a year and finally decided to just do it and build a proper 5inch freestyle quad. grabbed a used iFlight Titan frame off someone local, got a set of Emax Eco II 2306 1700kv motors coming in the mail, and im running an F7 stack i had lying around from a project that never went anywhere.

the thing is the ESC in that stack is a 30x30 35amp unit and i honestly dont know if thats going to be enough for these motors or if i should just buy a proper 45amp 4in1. ive been reading for like two hours and now im more confused than when i started because everyone has a different opinion and half those threads are from like 2019.

running 4s. probably just flying local spots, nothing crazy competitive, mostly learning bigger quad behavior after whoops. what would you guys actually pair with these motors for a chill freestyle build

35amp on 4s with those motors is honestly fine for freestyle, like you're not going to be pulling anywhere near continuous max amps unless you're doing really aggressive racing lines constantly. the burst rating matters more than the continuous anyway. i ran similar motors on a 35amp blheli32 esc for ages without any issues. just make sure your esc firmware is up to date and set your motor timing properly in blheli suite, that makes more of a difference than people realize.

if the 30x30 stack fits your frame well just use it. save the money for a decent vtx or props.

which F7 stack is it though? some of those older ones have pretty sketchy capacitors and that matters more than the amp rating imo. had a 35amp esc that kept browning out not because of amps but because the caps were garbage. might be worth pulling it apart and checking before you build everything around it
