okay so this is embarrassing but i've now failed the part 107 knowledge test twice and i genuinely don't understand what i'm doing wrong. first time i got a 68 which i know is close but still not passing, then i waited the 14 days and went back and got a 65 which somehow is worse. i studied using the faa study guide and some flashcard app i found. i feel like i know the material when im studying at home but then i sit down at the testing center and the questions are worded so weird and i second guess everything. the weather and aeronautical decision making sections are killing me i think. has anyone else had this happen or am i just not cut out for this. i really want to start doing commercial work but im starting to wonder if its worth it

dont give up man, a 68 first try actually means you understand more than you think. the problem with a lot of people is they memorize answers instead of actually understanding the concepts, and the FAA rewrites the question phrasing enough that memorization alone doesnt get you there. for weather specifically i'd look up METARs and TAFs and just practice decoding a bunch of real ones, there are websites where you can pull actual reports and it starts to feel more intuitive than just reading definitions. also for ADM stuff just remember they always want the most conservative cautious answer, like when in doubt pick the option where the pilot does the boring safe thing. that framing helped me a lot

i had a similar thing happen where my practice scores were way higher than my actual test score and i think for me it was just nerves making me overthink. one thing that helped when i retook it was i just flagged anything i wasn't 100% sure on and moved on, answered everything, then went back. gave me a better sense of how much time i had and stopped me from spiraling on any one question. also make sure you're using the FAA's own practice test bank not just random third party apps, some of those have outdated or just plain wrong questions
