finally landed my first clean split s yesterday

nothing crazy but after weeks of just corkscrewing into the ground i finally threw a split s that actually looked decent on the goggles. was flying my usual spot behind the old warehouse and just committed to it instead of chickening out halfway through like i always do. pulled it off twice in a row which was nuts

still cant link it into anything yet, just kind of hover awkwardly after but whatever it felt amazing. tune is nothing special, stock betaflight with like minor adjustments on the p terms, running 2306 motors on a 5inch. anyone else remember when this stuff finally clicked for them

yeah that click moment is real, for me it was trying to link a split s into a dive and suddenly everything started feeling like i was actually flying instead of just surviving lol. once you get comfortable with where the nose ends up after the maneuver the linking just starts happening naturally, dont force it

nice man. tbh split s is one of those tricks that sounds simple but took me forever too. the warehouse spot sounds sick, i always find having interesting obstacles around makes you push harder for some reason. whats your throttle curve like, i feel like that changes everything for freestyle and nobody talks about it enough
