so i picked up the Mavic 3 Classic about three weeks ago and ive been having a blast with it but now im going down the rabbit hole of all the accessories and i genuinely cant tell whats useful vs whats just stuff people buy because they feel like they have to. already grabbed extra batteries obviously and a car charger hub thing. but like... ND filters, landing pads, the carrying case from DJI vs a third party one, propeller guards for learning... i dont know where to stop. my budget isnt huge and i dont want to buy a bunch of stuff that just sits in a bag. anyone been through this and can tell me what they actually use vs what ended up being a waste?

ND filters are genuinely worth it if you care about the footage looking cinematic rather than just sharp, the 1/60 shutter rule on a sunny day will make your footage look way better once you try it. I use the Freewell magnetic ND set and its honestly one of the better purchases ive made, swapping them out mid flight is actually fast enough to bother doing. Landing pad i thought was gimmicky but if youre ever flying in grass or sand or any loose surface youll be glad you have one, mine is just a cheap amazon one and its fine. The DJI carrying case is overpriced for what it is imo, I use a Lowepro and it holds everything plus my laptop.

propeller guards are kind of pointless past the first week unless youre flying indoors, they mess with the aerodynamics a little and once you get comfortable with the sticks you just stop wanting them on. honestly the single best thing i got was just a second charging hub so i can cycle all three batteries overnight without thinking about it.
