ok so technically my shots are coming out fine now, exposure is decent, colors look good after some editing. but when i look at my photos compared to people i follow on instagram or whatever, mine just feel kind of boring? like its a field. cool. its a lake from above. great. but theres no like... wow factor.
i think its a composition issue but i dont really know the rules for aerial stuff specifically. ground photography has the rule of thirds and leading lines and all that but does any of that translate when youre 200 feet up looking straight down or at a weird angle? genuinely curious how people make these shots feel like something. maybe im just not flying to interesting places but i feel like ive seen incredible shots of places i would have considered boring
