my solder joints look fine but motors keep cutting out under throttle

so this has been bugging me for a while and im at a loss. built this 5 inch maybe 3 weeks ago, flies okay at low throttle but the moment i punch it one or sometimes two motors just drop out for a split second. feels like a desync but ive already reflashed BLHeli and changed the timing and it didnt really help.

the solder joints on the ESC pads look solid to me, shiny, no cold joints that i can see. battery is a pretty fresh 1500mah 6S so i dont think its sag causing it. im running 2207 motors which shouldnt be too much for a 45A ESC right

honestly starting to wonder if its the FC or maybe something in Betaflight settings. running the latest BF release. any ideas before i just start swapping parts randomly

check your motor desync settings in BLHeli first ? specifically demag compensation, set it to high if its on medium or low. that fixed an almost identical issue i had on a 6S build last year. also worth checking if your ESC telemetry is showing any overcurrent faults in the Betaflight blackbox, pull a log from one of those punchy flights and look at the motor outputs, youll see pretty clearly if one ESC is freaking out vs all four.

also and i know you said the joints look fine but physically tug on the motor wires. like actually give them a firm pull. ive had 'visually fine' joints that were barely holding on and would arc under load. its embarrassing how many builds ive debugged that way

could be the capacitor situation too ? did you solder a low ESR cap on the battery lead? on 6S especially if you dont have one the voltage spikes during punch outs can do weird things to the ESCs. not saying thats definitely it but its easy to rule out
