ok so ive been lurking here for ages and i finally put together a proper edit from about 3 months of flying. its mostly just stuff from around my town, nothing exotic, parks and a river and one shot from a parking garage rooftop which probably wasnt totally legal but anyway. its about 2 minutes long and i used some royalty free music that i think fits ok but im second guessing everything now that its uploaded.

mostly asking because i feel like i dont know what makes a drone edit actually good vs just random clips stitched together and i cant tell if mine is the second thing. anyone willing to watch it and give honest feedback?

just watched the whole thing. honestly better than my first edit by a lot. the parking garage shot is the best one, the angle coming around the corner is pretty cinematic. the music cuts dont always match the cuts in the footage though, like around the 1:10 mark there's a beat drop and nothing happens on screen which feels a bit off. other than that though keep going, you can see youre already thinking about composition which a lot of beginners just dont.

yeah the thing that separates random clips from an actual edit is usually just pacing and whether there's some kind of arc to it. like does it build toward something or just kind of stop. yours has a decent flow actually. i'd maybe cut like 20 seconds somewhere in the middle where it drags a bit but thats just me
