this has been bugging me for a while and I finally got fed up enough to post about it. my DJI FPV drifts noticeably in manual mode, like not a catastrophic death spin or anything but if i let the sticks go neutral it'll just keep rotating slowly on the yaw axis. it's subtle enough that i kept thinking it was my flying but I've put like 40 hours on this thing now and I'm pretty sure it's not me at this point.

I've done the IMU calibration twice and the compass cal before anyone asks. sticks are calibrated too. it only really shows up in manual mode which makes me wonder if it's a stick deadband thing or something in the motor outputs but I genuinely don't know enough about the DJI FPV's internals to dig deeper. normal mode and sport mode feel fine.

running latest firmware. haven't crashed it recently, last real incident was a pretty soft brush against a tree like two months ago which I didnt think much of at the time but maybe something got knocked

The tree brush might actually be the culprit even if it felt soft. A slightly bent prop or even a prop that looks fine but is slightly out of balance can show up exactly like this in manual mode because there's no stabilization to mask it. Normal and sport mode have enough correction authority to hide it but manual mode exposes everything. I'd swap all four props out with fresh ones first before doing anything else, it's the cheapest and easiest thing to rule out and it's the most common cause of exactly what you're describing.

If new props dont fix it then I'd look at whether one of the motors got slightly tweaked in that impact. Spin each motor by hand with props off and feel for any roughness or compare the sound when you do a slow motor test, one slightly damaged bearing will usually make itself known.

could also just be stick drift on the controller tbh. I know you said you calibrated but the DJI FPV remote 2 has a known thing where the gimbal sticks can develop a slight offset after heavy use and the calibration doesn't always fully catch it. there was a whole thread about this on RCGroups a while back. might be worth checking if anyone else reported similar with your firmware version too
