been flying for about 8 months now and i think this is honestly the first time ive come back with clips i actually want to show people. went out early morning before anyone else showed up, light was incredible, that golden hour stuff is real. did a slow orbit around the old dock and then pushed out over the water for a wide shot of the hills. nothing crazy technical but it just felt like it came together for once.

still figuring out color grading in davinci, i do a very light touch because every time i try to get creative with it i make it look worse. anyone else find that? like the footage is better when you barely touch it

yeah totally agree on the color grading thing. i spent like two hours trying to make a sunset clip look "cinematic" and ended up just undoing everything and exporting what came off the drone. sometimes the sensor just does the work for you especially in good light

would love to see the reservoir clip if you post it somewhere

early morning is the only way honestly. i tried going out at noon a couple times when i first started and everything just looks flat and harsh. now i basically only fly the first hour after sunrise or the last hour before sunset. takes more planning but the difference is night and day
