Hey everyone! Just got my DJI Mini 4 Pro and I'm shopping for a landing pad. I see sizes from 20" up to 50" but I'm totally lost on what size I actually need. Has anyone got recommendations for a decent landing pad for the Mavic series of drones? So many of those for sale on Amazon look cheaply made and come from China.... I need something weighted and foldable. Also, do I really need the weighted ones or are the basic fabric ones okay for light wind?

I mainly fly in parks and beaches, so dealing with grass and sand is my main concern. Any suggestions for a newbie would be amazing!

Choose a pad with enough space for normal landing drift. Even skilled pilots have minor positional variation, especially in wind or when landing on uneven terrain. A larger pad also helps when you are landing while keeping an eye on surroundings. For the Mini 4 Pro, I'd go with at least 30" - gives you room for error and looks more professional too.

I have one of the Amazon round ones. I did add fishing weights to the four loops. Works great. The weighted ones are definitely worth it for beach flying - learned that the hard way when my cheap pad blew away during landing!

Honestly, I use a rubber doormat. Costs like $15, stays put, easy to clean, and my drone doesn't care if it's "official" or not. Sometimes the simple solutions work best.
