ok so i picked up a Mavic 3 Classic last week, used it maybe three times and im already obsessed. came from a mini 2 so a lot of this feels familiar but some things are throwing me off.

main thing is the Hasselblad color profile stuff ? i shot in D-Log M on my second flight because everyone online says to but honestly the footage looked completely washed out and grey and i panicked a little. i know thats normal and you have to grade it but i have no idea where to start with that. im on premiere pro if that helps. is there a LUT people actually use or do you all just do it manually every time?

also the RC controller that came with it, is it normal that it gets pretty warm after like 30-40 minutes? not hot hot but definitely warm. maybe im overthinking it.

The washed out look in D-Log is totally normal, dont stress. DJI actually includes a free LUT pack on their website specifically for D-Log M, just search "DJI D-Log M LUT" and you should find the download page. I use those as a starting point and then tweak from there. Premiere handles them fine, just apply it as an adjustment layer above your clips and set the blend mode to normal. Once you get used to it you'll never want to shoot in anything else, the dynamic range is just so much better especially in high contrast scenes.

The RC controller getting warm is normal in my experience, especially if you're out in the sun. Never had it cause any actual problems.

yeah the RC warming up is just a thing, runs pretty hard keeping that screen bright outdoors. i actually switched to using my phone with a third party mount for longer sessions just to save the RC battery for when i really need it, but thats probably overkill for most people
