ok so ive been reading about the 180 degree shutter rule and i get the concept but theres like a million different ND filter sets out there and i have no idea which ones to actually buy. some are like 15 dollars on amazon and some are 80+ dollars. genuinely cant tell if the cheap ones are fine or if theyre going to ruin my footage. i mostly fly in bright daylight, sometimes golden hour. dont really do any night flying. the kit i saw from freewell looked decent but then someone in another thread said polar pro is the only way to go and now im more confused than before

honestly the freewell ones are perfectly fine for most people. ive used both freewell and polar pro and yeah polar pro glass is slightly better if you pixel peep but for youtube or sharing with friends you wont notice a difference. the cheap no-name ones from amazon are hit or miss though, ive had a couple that had a slight color cast that was annoying to fix in post. for sunny daylight shooting i mostly reach for the ND16 or ND64, the 32 kind of sits in an awkward middle ground for me but some people love it. just get a 4-pack and experiment

i went with the freewell all-day kit and its been sitting in my bag for like two months untouched if im being honest. i kept meaning to use them more but half the time i just forget or the light changes too fast and i cant be bothered swapping mid flight. might be a me problem. the filters themselves seem fine quality wise, no complaints there, just saying dont stress too much about which brand if youre just starting out with them
