DJI FPV drone keeps going into atti mode randomly during manual flight ? anyone else had this?

so ive been flying the DJI FPV for about 4 months now, mostly in manual mode once i got comfortable with the goggles v2 setup. thing is, lately its been randomly dropping into attitude mode mid-flight with no warning, just kind of loses the locked GPS feel and starts drifting. it happened twice last week over a field which was fine but if that happens near trees im in trouble.

im not hitting the switch accidentally, ive checked that like a dozen times. signal seems fine, usually flying within 200-300m. running the latest firmware i think, updated maybe 6 weeks ago. not sure if theres been something pushed since then. anyone seen this or know what usually causes it? its starting to make me nervous about taking it anywhere technical.

had something similar on mine a while back, turned out to be a loose connection on the remote controller 2, one of the mode switch contacts was intermittent. i didnt even realize until i really looked at it. worth plugging into DJI assistant and checking if there are any controller errors in the logs, sometimes it'll show a switch fault that doesnt throw a visible warning on the goggles.

also check your firmware, there was definitely a patch a few months ago that addressed some mode switching behavior, cant remember the exact version but it was around the.0700 range i think. always worth staying current on the FPV drone specifically because they dont always announce what they fixed.

does it happen more when you're coming out of a fast dive or after a hard maneuver? asking because i read somewhere the IMU can get confused temporarily after high-G stuff and the failsafe logic kicks in weird. might be nothing but worth noting if there's a pattern to when it drops.
