anyone else here fly just for themselves and not post anything

been flying for almost three years now and i honestly dont have a single video posted anywhere. not on youtube, not instagram, nothing. i just fly because i like flying and then the footage sits on a hard drive forever. my wife thinks its weird that i spend all this money on gear and never show anyone anything but i dunno, it feels kinda nice that its just for me

maybe im in the minority here but curious if theres other people who just do it as a pure hobby with no content creation angle at all

same honestly. tried starting a channel twice and just hated the whole process of editing and thumbnails and all that stuff. now i just fly and if i get a cool shot i might send it to a friend on whatsapp. thats about as far as it goes for me

I actually think thats the healthier way to do it. I went down the content creation rabbit hole for about a year and it completely changed how I flew ? always thinking about the shot, the story, the monetization angle. Stopped being fun pretty fast. Took a long break and came back just flying for fun and its way better now. Your wife is wrong, its not weird at all.
