so ive been dealing with this for like three weeks now and its driving me insane. im flying my mini 3 pro in what should be an open field, barely any trees around, and ill get maybe 4-5 minutes into the flight and then boom, signal starts cutting in and out. sometimes it recovers, sometimes it just goes into RTH and i have to walk out to get it.

the weird part is it doesnt seem to matter how far out i am. it happens at 200ft just as much as it does at 800ft. ive tried switching between 2.4 and 5.8 on the RC2 controller manually but neither seems to make a consistent difference. checked for interference sources nearby, theres a cell tower maybe half a mile away but ive flown in way worse RF environments without issues.

latest firmware on everything. signal bars look fine right up until the disconnect happens. no obvious pattern i can identify. anyone dealt with something like this or have any idea where to start?

had almost the exact same thing happen with my RC-N1 a while back. turned out one of the antenna connections inside the controller had worked itself slightly loose ? like not fully detached but just enough to cause intermittent issues. the signal bars dont always tell you the whole story, they can look okay and still be janky depending on how the hardware is actually negotiating the link.

if youre on the RC2 with the built in screen, the antennas are embedded in the top portion of the controller. theres not much you can do yourself without voiding warranty but it might be worth contacting DJI support and describing the pattern. they had me run a diagnostic log pull and it actually showed the RSSI was spiking all over the place even when the visual indicator looked stable. ended up being a warranty replacement.

also worth checking if you have any conflicting wifi on your phone if youre using phone as display ? not relevant if youre on RC2 but just throwing it out there.

does it happen in the same general area every time or different locations? asking because i had a weird one where it turned out there was some kind of industrial equipment running nearby that only kicked on intermittently. took me forever to narrow down because i kept going back to the same spot thinking it was my gear.
