Planning a 250-acre commercial site survey with my M350 RTK. Issue is there are several tall structures and interference zones where I expect RTK signal drops. Question: For those doing large-scale mapping, what's your workflow when RTK connectivity becomes unreliable? I'm considering switching to full PPK workflow with minimal GCPs, but wondering about the accuracy trade-offs.

Been there. For sites with RTK dropout issues, I use a hybrid: 1 central GCP + PPK processing. Recent studies show this gives survey-grade accuracy even with 90% signal loss. Key is placing that GCP strategically in the center of your AOI.

DroneDeploy's PPK processing is decent but Pix4D gives you way more control over the adjustment parameters. If you're doing survey work, the desktop version of Pix4Dmapper lets you fine-tune the processing chain. Worth the investment for commercial projects.

Check your CORS network coverage first - sometimes you can get away with RTK if you have good base station positioning. PPK adds processing time but eliminates the real-time dependency. I'd recommend doing a test flight over a small section to validate your workflow before the full survey.
