this has been bugging me for a few weeks now. flying in a pretty open area, nothing crazy, and im getting signal warnings and sometimes brief disconnects at distances that seem way too short. like sub kilometer stuff where it should be absolutely fine. the controller is the RC2 if that matters. checked for interference sources and nothing obvious, its not like im flying near a cell tower or anything

it started happening kinda suddenly, wasnt an issue before. did update the firmware a little while back but I cant remember exactly when the problem started relative to that. wondering if its a physical antenna thing on the drone or the controller or if maybe something in a recent update messed with transmission settings. anyone had something similar

check your antenna positioning on the RC2 first ? people overlook this all the time but if the antennas arent oriented properly relative to where the drone is it degrades signal more than you'd think. they should be pointing up and slightly angled, not flat. also go into the settings and make sure you're on the right frequency band for your area, sometimes after an update it can reset or behave weirdly. if none of that helps it might be worth doing a full refresh of the link between the controller and the drone, unpair and re-pair everything fresh

had something similar a while back and it turned out to be interference from a neighbors new wifi setup that apparently broadcasts on a frequency that was causing issues. I know you said nothing obvious but its worth trying a different location entirely just to rule out environmental stuff. also there was a firmware version a few months ago that some people reported messing with ocusync performance, might be worth looking up if the version you updated to had issues. the DJI forums have a thread on it I think
