how long does it actually take to get decent at flying

so ive been flying my little whoop around the backyard for maybe two weeks now and im still kinda bad at it. i can hover fine and do slow forward flight but anytime i try to do anything that involves yawing while moving i just get completely disoriented. is this normal or am i just slow to pick it up. i feel like some people on here talk about flying like its easy but it really isnt, at least not for me. im not sure if i need to practice more of the same stuff or try different exercises or what

two weeks is nothing honestly. the yaw disorientation thing is super common and it just clicks one day, like your brain suddenly figures out how to compensate and after that it feels obvious. what helped me was always picking a visual reference point on the ground and practicing flying circles around it so you're constantly yawing and adjusting at the same time. feels weird and slow at first but it trains your brain faster than just flying around randomly.

yeah took me probably a month of regular flying before i stopped having moments of complete panic about which way was which. some people pick it up faster some slower, doesnt really mean anything. simulators are worth trying if you havent, Liftoff or Velocidrone, you can crash infinitely without caring and i think that actually helped me more than real sticks time in the early days just because i wasnt scared of breaking anything
