so this has been happening for the past few weeks. everything is fine, flying normally, then out of nowhere the feed drops for a few seconds and i get a signal warning. sometimes it reconnects fast, sometimes it takes longer and one time i nearly had a flyaway situation where it just started heading back to home on its own because it lost signal long enough to trigger RTH.

its not always in the same location either which makes me think its not just local interference. ive updated firmware, ive re-paired the controller, ive tried different frequencies on the RC Pro. still happens. the drone itself is in good shape, no crashes or anything physical.

anyone dealt with this? im running the RC Pro not the standard remote if that matters. starting to wonder if its the controller itself or something with the drone but i dont have another controller to swap test with

had almost the exact same issue last year with my Mavic 3 Classic and it drove me crazy for weeks. turned out one of the antennas on my RC Pro had a loose connection internally, you couldnt see anything wrong from the outside. DJI support actually walked me through some diagnostics and eventually they had me send the controller in. came back fine after that.

before you go that route though ? have you checked if there are any apps running in the background on the RC Pro that might be competing for resources? sounds dumb but it was also a suggestion they gave me and apparently it can cause weird interference with the signal processing. also try flying in a totally open area with zero structures around, if it still drops there consistently thats a pretty strong sign its a hardware thing and not environment.

could also be a firmware thing, there was a patch a while back that people said messed with signal stability and then the next update supposedly fixed it but i know a few people who still had issues after. worth checking what version youre on and comparing with any changelogs on the DJI forum, they bury stuff in those release notes sometimes
