so ive been going back and forth between the Air 2S and the Mavic 3 Classic for probably six months now, reading every comparison thread i could find, watching reviews until my eyes glazed over. finally just pulled the trigger on the Classic last month and honestly i feel like i should have done it sooner but also im glad i waited because i found a decent deal with the fly more combo.

first thing i noticed right out of the box is how solid it feels compared to my old Mini 2. like theres actual weight to it, feels like it was built by people who meant it. the Hasselblad color profile thing was what i was most curious about and yeah the D-Log M footage is genuinely different to grade than what i was used to. took me a few sessions to stop overcolouring it because you really dont need to do much.

battery life has been the biggest practical upgrade for me. i was constantly swapping on the Mini 2 mid-shoot and now i can actually just fly and think about the shot instead of watching the battery percentage like a hawk. anyway just wanted to share since this forum helped me make the decision. happy to answer questions if anyone else is on the fence about the Classic vs Air 2S thing.

the D-Log M thing took me a while to get used to too, i kept thinking something was wrong with my footage the first couple times because it looks so flat straight off the drone. once you get a LUT dialled in that works for your style though its really hard to go back to anything else. glad you went for it, the Classic is a genuinely great camera for the price when you compare it to what you'd spend on a full Inspire setup or whatever.

one tip ? if you havent already, mess around with the focus peaking in the live view when youre in manual focus mode. makes a big difference when youre shooting subjects against busy backgrounds and you want to be sure before you start a long take.

nice, im actually in almost the exact same spot you were in lol. been staring at the Air 2S price drop lately but the Classic keeps pulling me back. did you get the ND filter kit with it or are you using third party ones? thats like the one thing i cant figure out, whether to go official DJI filters or just grab a Freewell set
