DJI firmware update bricked my settings ? anyone else get hit by this

  • Members

updated the Mini 4 Pro firmware last night through the DJI Fly app, the one that dropped a few days ago, and now basically all my custom settings are gone. not just reset ? some of them are behaving differently than even the defaults. my gimbal tilt speed is maxed out no matter what i set it to in the app and the return to home altitude keeps reverting to 30m even though i have it set to 60.

also and this might be unrelated but my controller connection seems flaky now, getting occasional signal drops in situations where i never had them before. same flying spot i always use.

tried restarting everything multiple times, refreshed the firmware on the RC2 as well. not sure if i should just wait and see if DJI patches it or if theres something i should actually be doing. kinda nervous to fly a real job with it acting like this.

yeah the gimbal speed thing is a known issue from that build, theres already a thread about it on the DJI forum. from what i read its related to a parameter file that doesnt migrate properly during the update. someone suggested doing a full aircraft refresh through DJI Assistant 2 on desktop rather than OTA ? apparently the app update doesnt always push all the config files correctly. havent tried it myself yet but worth a shot before you fly anything important.

this is exactly why i wait like two weeks before touching any firmware update. let everyone else be the beta testers lol. i know thats not always practical but ive been burned enough times that i just dont update the day it drops anymore. hope you get it sorted, the RTH altitude thing especially seems like not great if you fly anywhere with trees
