my client workflow has become a total mess ? how do you guys handle revisions and delivery

been doing commercial work for about two years now, mostly real estate and some construction progress stuff, and the actual flying part is fine but the back and forth with clients after the fact is killing me. i have no consistent system and its starting to show.

like right now i have three active clients and one of them keeps emailing me asking for tweaks ? slightly different color grade, can you make the sky more blue, can you add their logo to the video, stuff like that. i never really defined what was included in the original quote so now im doing all this extra work for free because i feel weird charging her after the fact. another client i delivered files to through wetransfer and they said they never got them (the link probably expired) and now they cant find the email and its just this whole thing.

do you guys use contracts that spell out revision limits? and how do you deliver final files ? wetransfer always feels sketchy to me now, thinking about switching to google drive or frame.io or something. would love to hear how other people have this stuff organized because right now its just vibes and i need actual structure

frame.io is genuinely great for video delivery, clients can leave timestamped comments right on the video which cuts down a lot of the vague feedback like "make it more dynamic" because they have to point to exactly what they mean. the free tier has limits but for the volume most solo pilots are doing its probably fine to start.

on the revision thing ? yeah you really need this in writing before the job starts. i use a pretty simple contract i built off a template i found online, it just says something like two rounds of minor revisions included, anything beyond that is billed at my hourly rate. most clients never even use both rounds but just having it there in writing stops the endless tweaks. the first time i actually enforced it with a client who kept pushing i was nervous but she was totally fine with it, i think people just need to know where the line is.

yeah wetransfer links expiring has bitten me before too. i just use google drive now, share a folder directly with their email so they always have access. not the fanciest solution but its never failed me and clients already know how to use it which matters more than i thought it would. some of my older real estate clients would have no idea what to do with frame.io honestly
