so ive been flying the Avata for about 3 months now mostly in normal and sport mode and its been fine, super stable, no complaints. but i've been slowly trying to get into manual mode and every time i let off the sticks the thing just kind of drifts and wobbles, like its not holding attitude at all. i know thats kind of the whole point of acro but it feels way more unstable than i expected, like im fighting it constantly.

i did the manual mode unlock thing through the fly app, went through all the steps. my motion controller is set aside for now im using the standard RC controller that came with the combo. not sure if my rates are too aggressive out of the box or what. ive watched some videos and other peoples Avatas look way smoother than mine feels. could be a tuning thing, could be me, honestly not sure which

yeah thats just acro mode doing its thing, the Avata has no stabilization in manual so whatever inputs you put in it keeps doing until you correct. the stock rates on it are actually pretty tame compared to like a freestyle 5inch but if youre coming from sport mode it probably still feels wild. the key thing that helped me was just hovering in a big open space and doing tiny tiny corrections, like barely touching the sticks. muscle memory takes a while to build and the Avata's a bit heavier than a typical micro so it has a bit more momentum going on

also make sure your expo isnt at zero, the default might be fine but some people dial in more expo around center so small stick movements are less twitchy. its in the RC settings somewhere

same boat here when i started, felt like i was wrestling it the whole time. i ended up spending like two weeks just on the simulator before going back to actual flying and it made a huge difference. velocidrone has an Avata profile that's pretty close to the real thing. still not perfect but way better than crashing every 30 seconds lol
